In the span of about two weeks, we went from having never heard of Lviv, Ukraine to spontaneously looking for an apartment to rent because we didn’t want to leave. Even after spending a month exploring this beautiful European city, we left feeling like we had only scratched the surface. There’s a lot more to Ukraine than meets the eye so we’re sharing 21 unique things to do in Lviv that we loved and hope you’ll enjoy too.
Despite having first heard about Blagaj years ago (thank you, Pinterest), I never really knew much about the town except for the fact that the photos looked gorgeous. Nonetheless, it was added to our never-ending list of travel goals and finally ticked off this month while visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was 2:00am in Split, Croatia and not only were Wes and I wide awake but we were out at the bus station waiting for our new friends and ready for another adventure. We had no expectations but knew that we’d have a fun day and would say yes to any and all opportunities that would come our way. What we didn’t know is that the events that would unfold over the next 24 hours would end with us being featured on the national evening news in Croatia…
Our weekend hike to Mosor quickly became one of my favourite day trips from Split. It’s fun, affordable and a great way to appreciate some of the beautiful scenery along the Dalmatian coast. A highlight for us was the local lunch we enjoyed at a mountain lodge in the middle of a forest and today we’re sharing all you need to know when planning your hike to Mosor.
Despite this being our second time visiting Miskolc, Hungary, it wasn’t long before we realized how much we had missed the first time around! Between the impressive thermal cave baths, picturesque mountains and even a scenic train, there really is something for everyone to enjoy. After our fun-filled visit, we’re sharing 11 things you’re sure to love about the under-rated city of Miskolc, Hungary.
A visit to the capital of Hungary isn’t complete without a drink (or two) at one of the many Budapest ruin pubs. These bars are unique to the city and unlike anything we’ve seen during our travels. Our favourite so far is Szimpla Kert, a garden/pub/cafe/souvenir shop/farmer’s market/local hangout/shisha bar that is sure to surprise even the most skeptical visitor.
