This hip department-like store is located in the Shibuya shopping district, a couple minutes walk from the main Shibuya Station. It’s right behind the colorful Disney shop, nestled beside a bookstore.

Loft has 7 magnificent floors and each one is different from the next. You should grab the elevator up to to Level 6 and start working your way down from there. The top floor is the most unique: miniature puzzles, colorful cow statues and plastic vases are just a few things to get you started. They had me up there for quite some time, staring at all the neat products that were completely foreign to me.

On the rest of the floors you can find household goods, backpacks, sake, clocks, stationery, toiletries, clothing, notebooks, birthday cards, pens, seasonal items and even portable chair massagers. Don’t be surprised to leave with something you never thought you’d need but suddenly need to have.

Think of Loft like a Wal-Mart or Target but all of their stuff is modern and just plain cooler. Prices at Loft are quite reasonable, especially for Tokyo. For whatever budget you have, you’re sure to find a unique gift for everyone on your list.

I’ve recently been to Tokyo and I did not go there for shopping. It’s actually a shame. Looks like a great place!!

Loft is my favourite store in the world! I’m living in Okinawa at the moment and we don’t have a loft, but whenever i’m on mainland Japan I always go!
